AMERICAN IDOL recap delay

UPDATE: I'm going to post my AI recap anyway at 10 pm pdt, even though I didn't watch it.

Due to a power failure my season ending AMERICAN IDOL recap will appear Friday. I'm sure some of you are saying "take all the time you need. Take a year". But I'll have it Friday. We need a sense of closure. A new post follows shortly.

  1. Best song of the night: "I am your brother, your best friend forever." Here's hoping it becomes the Anthem of the World. Or at least available on iTunes.

  2. I think I hear the voice of conspiracy behind the season ending American Idol power failure...

  3. Didn't watch it, but I hear Archuleta won. In about three years the guy's going to be a huge star...on the Rust Belt State Fair circuit. Here's hoping that he can headline--I think the butter cow will have him beat for charisma.

I hope that was a joke. Switch the last name.

  5. Listen more closely Lev. Somewhere (i.e. backstage at the Nokia) Daddy Archuleta is screaming, and kicking a wall, while little David, or to use his Dad's new nickname for him, "LOSER," is cowering in the corner. "Please Daddy, I can't control the voting. Please dont't! Not the wire hangers again! PLEASE!" While Dad screams "SECOND PLACE IS LAST PLACE!"

There's a lot of depressed Mormons in Utah tonight.

2 hours for a show that only needed to run five minutes, and it still ran 5 minutes over time. All they had to do was cut George Michaels, and I wouldn't have missed the opening of LAW & ORDER.

  6. I never knew Tallulah was a fan of LAW AND ORDER..of course, that's the only thing in show business that's been around longer that her.

  8. I'm not that crazy about "Law," but I LOVE to "Order"! Mine will be a vodka tonic, HEAVY on the vodka; just the merest whisper of tonic.

BTW, "Law & Order" were one of the greatest comedy teams to ever play the Orphium Circuit. I loved their "Who's in the Cell, What's in The Hole, and I Don't Know got The Chair" routine.

    Cheers!

  9. A little off topic, but I have been reading the news, Tallulah...do you plan to be in line behind Ellen Degeneres and Mr. Sulu in making it legal?
(you need respond only if you answer is something other than "Where's the fun in being LEGAL?")

  10. Ellen and Sulu are getting hitched? Didn't see that one coming.

  11. Will I be making what legal?

Darling, I've been married ten or twelve times at least (I don't recall the full tally), but always to men. Frankly, I don't see how they can say they've only just legalized gay marriage. So many of my husbands were gay, that at my last wedding, the band played "Here Comes the Beard." So I've had plenty of gay marriages, yet the only time I've ever been arrested and tried, well, it wasn't for marrying gay men.

In any event, I have learned from a dozen or so mistakes, and I don't plan to marry anyone ever again.

And frankly, Mr. Sulu can do better than Ellen.

BTW, I hear that Carrot Top watched AMERICAN IDOL last night, and then declared THE LOVE GURU to be "So bad, I thought I was starring in it."
