  1. Thank you, darling, and you're welcome. I'm over-honored to be included on such a distinguished list. I am thankful for you as well. Now enjoy a huge Thanksgiving meal, with a Lipitor chaser. My favorite part of Thanksgiving: the stuffing, followed by a good meal.

    Cheers.

  5. So is this Brian wil;son, the writer for the Beach Boys, or Brian wilson, the pitcher for the SF Giants?

    To Anonymous: weak response.

  6. Cassell's? Really? Gave up on them years ago after Al Cassell retired. Are they still awesome? How do they stack up against the new kids in town, like Umami, Counter, or my personal favorite, Golden State?

  10. Thanks, Ken. I'm thankful for you, too. I laugh more reading your blog than any other.

    Other things/people I'm grateful for:

You must add one more to your list...Sofia Vergara. What would the world be without her?

  12. You don't like "Terriers"??

I'm thankful that people are still trying to put intelligent TV on the air.

Esca, you want to thank your make-believe god, that is your absolute right. If Ken wants to thank it, or not, that's his absolute right. Don't go around ordering people to give thanks for this fictional character.

Besides, I thought the idea was to give thanks to this god thing, not for it.

I am thankful I wasn't fool enough to fall for the god delusion.

I'm thankful that I don't know, am not related to, or not married to either Heidi or Spencer...

When exactly is their 15 minutes up anyway?

  15. Thanks Ken. Unlike some people (anonymous) some of us are glad you are a real person. It makes us think that maybe we can be the "us" equivalents of "ken levine" someday.

Thankful for 2 weeks until graduation. So long orange and white; hello, again, real world.

  16. I agree with everything/one but Maddow, about whom I am indifferent. But you do such a great blog I want to do something nice for you, Ken, so I'll send a picture of me in a thong.

WV: slyzy. How a modern college grad spells sleazy.

  17. I'd be really really thankful if you could help me get over my 'I'm crap with coming up with titles' thing...
I've written a script people like...it's about a single mum who had her son when 14 and has struggled and worked hard to provide them both with a good life...then her past comes back and bites her on the bum...can I think of a title....nope...it takes me longer to come up with titles than to write the flipping thing...how is it for you?

  21. Oh, and which Steve Martin? The lead singer of The Left Banke (Walk Away Renee) or the guy who used to have arrows in his head?

  22. I am thankful for comedy and sports. Also all the hot girls out there and I knew what you were saying when you said thongs, haha.

  23. Great list! Though have you been to a Bob's Big Boy lately? I have, and let's just say it's much nicer to remember it fondly than to actually eat the food there.

Friday questions: You're taking an improv class? Just for fun or to help your writing or because you see a job at The Groundlings in your future? Once you became an established writer, did you still take classes, read how-to books, etc.? Or did you feel you'd advanced beyond those things?

    Happy almost Thanksgiving!

  24. And I so agree with you about Amy Winehouse. I could listen to her sing all day and night.

  26. This is lovely. And may I just second Steven Moffat? He has made this a wonderful year; Doctor Who has been fantastic and Sherlock has joined M*A*S*H in the go-to "too sick to move" TV category.

  27. Debbie G (so hoping that G stands for Gibson, when i was five I thought I and the electric youth herself were going to runaway and live happily ever after),
if you dig winehouse may I suggest:

Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings
    Melanie Fiona
    and Corrine Bailey Rae

Helen: I've read a lot of scripts, and I like to suggest better titles, mostly to the other people in my office. A lot of times people miss the golden opportunity title right in front of their face. I would be more than happy to help, but I think I would have to read it. No offense but the synopsis sounds very generic.

    Happy Thanksgiving, Ken!
