I'm offering my book for FREE

Starting tomorrow for three days only you can get the Kindle version of my travelogue book, WHERE THE HELL AM I?  TRIPS I HAVE SURVIVED for free.   Yes, I'm crazy.  But it's another way of saying thank you for reading my blog.  Just click here.  This begins midnight PDT.  And again, it's for three days only.   Enjoy!

And now return to today's regularly scheduled post on why NBC is so half-Peacocked.

  2. I bought it when it was first offered. A few nights ago I reread parts of it and enjoyed it anew. I don't regret paying for it, either. It was a steal.

  4. Ken, I was wondering about character names. From time to time you see characters obviously named after the actor who plays them: Nurse Kellye, Grizz and Lutz on 30 ROCK, etc. How does that happen -- is it a "oh fuck it, it's 4 AM and we haven't named this charater yet" thing, or does the character get developed with the actor in mind, or what?

  6. Dammit! I don't own [nor can I afford] a Kindle. However, I can go out in the woods and get some kindling.

Ken, I also bought it when it cost real money, and loved it.

  10. I must say thanks for making your book free, it's only polite.

  11. Are you willing to lend it to libraries?

  12. Libraries are in a bind - some publishing houses are making it impossible for libraries to have access to books in econtent. I would be very proud to have your book (books) in our collection.

  15. Thank you Ken. Very nice of you to offer. Looking forward to reading.

By the way--saw the "Point of View" episode from MASH the other night and Goodbye Radar last week here in Chicago. Just superb! Radar leaving the Teddy Bear gets to me everytime.

  16. Are you kidding me? I paid full price for it when it came out. Are you going to reimburse me for the price I originally paid? I can't stand when writers . . .

Oh, wait. Just found a couple bucks in my pocket. No worries.

  17. I'm confused. There are a bunch of reviews from people in the US, but Amazon says the book isn't available to the United States. Is this an error?

  21. What??? Things are so tough you have to give the effing thing away?

Seriously, don't writers have ANY self-respect?
