Thanks for posting this video Ken. I actually got all teary & not just from watching the sexy women dance team. Guess its just a joy seeing people doing nice things...

  2. Believe it or not, that's only the second best proposal using that song. See http://www.oregonlive.com/today/index.ssf/2012/05/beaming_portland_couple_isaac.html which includes the video as part of a news story about it. Ken, I think you'll appreciate the pun they do on one lyric.

As I recall, both members of the couple were actors, thus the number of performance trained friends available. Also, it was choreographed by the lady in the red dress, who I'd rather hope does this sort of thing as at least a sideline business after this.

  3. "Proposal" videos always make me feel weird. Obviously this one is special, but I've no idea why couples choose to share this personal event with the whole world. It seems to send the message "my girlfriend agreeing to become my wife was merely a side-benefit of having created a viral video."

  4. Got me teary!

Although... wasn't that the wrong finger? And wasn't it a bit weird when he turned back on her at the end? Weird body language!

  5. Maybe he was just super nervous and keen to get out of the limelight.

  6. That was a great video, but was that the wrong hand?

  8. I remember in the late 1980s, the Texas Rangers were playing one of their Sunday night games in old Arlington Stadium -- they were long out of contention, as usual in those days -- and someone did a video-board marriage proposal. Bob Carpenter (now TV play-by-play voice of the Nationals) asked viewers whether she should say "yes" or "no"; there were different numbers to call. I believe "yes" won...but not by much, given the bitterness of the Rangers' fan base at the time.
