Episode 5: My One Night Stand

Ken reveals what the Netflix algorithm thinks he wants to watch--we can't explain it, but they really think he wants to see Escorts, Love Actually, and Zootopia. Ok, maybe he does actually want to watch Escorts. And just think about what those "smart" algorithms think people who've been searching "golden showers" lately want to watch. Ken also talks about a fateful day in radio that made the staff consider murdering him. He takes the opportunity to publicly apologize for a stunt he played on a big-time DJ many moons ago. Plus, he tells the craziest audience testing story ever. Finally, Ken interviews the amazing voiice of the Mets, Chargers, and UCLA (we are tired just typing that), Josh Lewin. Enjoy!

  1. I am thoroughly enjoying your podcast, Ken. Thanks so much for sharing your stories with us.

It was great to hear from Josh Lewin in this week's episode.

He was the Texas Rangers' TV PBP announcer from 2002-2010, so those of us in North Texas are well familiar with how good he is at his job.

Many of us really miss him.

Best wishes and I'm already looking forward to episode 6 of Hollywood & Levine.

Starting a new radio job, did you ever find yourself saying the wrong call letters? I swear the "red phone" call I got from the program director my first night was friendly and casual, but it went like this..."Just a couple things--I'd like you to keep the music a little more up-tempo. Oh, and do you have a pencil? Write this down, K-B-R-O. That's the name of the station, not what you've been saying."
