A possible Friday Question/Christmas Present/something: Ever see Warren Beatty's Howard Hughes movie, Rules Don't Apply? I watched this the other night on one of the HBOs, and midway through I saw something that brought me up a bit short. At about the 1:00 mark, give or take, there's a scene where Hughes is playing phone games with some guys from Merrill Lynch whom he's trying to scam for a loan. One of the Merrill Lynchers looked somewhat familiar, so I waited out the cast credits at the end ... ... and imagine my surprise to learn the casting of this silent role, especially in light of subsequent historical events.
What I'm asking is:
(a) If you saw Rules Don't Apply, did you happen to notice this particular bit player; (b) if you did, did you recognize him, early or late; (c) What, if anything, was your reaction to same?
Anyone else who reads this, feel free to play along.
I noticed part of Apple Pan sign and the Picwood Theater in car window views. The Picwood is long gone but I remember it being built at Pico & WestWood and watched original 3D version of House of Wax and also Long. Long Trailer there.
I have a slightly different pic of the lovely Liz from that session (which may or may not have been a "Bewitched"-related still) at yesterday's Carole & Co. entry, which features nearly two dozen holiday-related stars' pics from the '20s through last year:

A merry Christmas to all...and even though I'm not Jewish, I think I'll head out for some Chinese food.
