Ken talks to Rob Leszczak, who wrote “The Complete Guide to the TV Sitcom WINGS.” Between Rob’s research and Ken’s personal recollections of working on WINGS, it’s a fascinating insider’s look at a sitcom that deserved way more respect than it received.
"Sometimes, I think my raison d’etre on this swiftly tilting planet is to remind people of what an overlooked and underrated tv show Wings is." https://xmastime.blogspot.com/2015/05/thoughts-i-have-them_15.html :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for talking about WINGS, Ken!!!!!!!
As sound designer for Discovery Channel's '90s military aviation series "Wings", I find your show highly inconvenient when I try to discuss my work experience and credits. Can you do something about that? ;)
ReplyDeleteWINGS was such a great show and a key part of Thursday nights Must See TV.
ReplyDeleteStill one of my favorites lines is at the end of Das Planes when Carlton says:
Maybe it was Los Cruces...
Looking forward to Part 2
Still one of my favorites - great cast, great writing and always a surprise in every episode - I watch it late night where they run back to back episodes and they rotate Wings with Becker - no wonder I stay up late every night - hahahaha
ReplyDeleteSince I haven't seen it posted, here's the link to the book on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/162933667X
ReplyDeleteGreat interview! Love that this started as a project to keep him busy during COVID
Wings was a great show!
ReplyDeleteWings, Cheers & Frasier, that's why I pay for CBS All-access. Anything else that turns up that I like is a bonus.
ReplyDeleteIf only they'd get Becker, too!
Excellent podcast, enjoyed it a lot. (The book's a bit pricey, I'll have to wait for it to hit the used market.)
