A good announcer shouldn't have "his own team." That's why Vin Scully is one of the last greats. He is the Dodgers announcer. But he never roots for the Dodgers. He just announces.
The announcer got a little redundant with the "stupid and arrogant" (which the play was) and then just in case we didn't get it, dug down deep to give us "unintelligent."
I'm sure that's nothing compared to the new asshole his coach probably ripped him when he got back to the dugout. It's one thing to jog a couple steps to add some momentum to the ball; it's another thing to just walk it over to first and hope the batter's already given up.
Holy crap. That announcer should be shitcanned. How the hell does anyone cover a sporting event at any level and do that? This team is in the Northwoods League, which is a summer league for unpaid college players. UNPAID college players.
This comes from too many people in broadcasting conflating reportage with their "insights".

This will be about as far as either of these announcers ever get in their broadcasting careers - if it lasts much longer. Especially the color commentator. Maybe he's confusing color with off-color cause he's as bad of announcer as I've ever heard in my life.
Is it just me or did he sound like he had a bucket of cold ones in the booth? He sounded like he was slurring a bit. And apologizing [quite sloppily I might add] to John's parents was just low class. How about you NOT say something so "stupid" and "unitelligent" in the first place?
It doesn't matter who HIS team is, that is just over the top for any announcer to do. Poor John. The hot dog.
