I'm finally playing Vegas!

No, I'm not opening for Sinatra (yet).  But tomorrow night I will be speaking at the Las Vegas Academy of the Arts at 7:00.  I'll be discussing my career and ways to reinvent yourself.   Okay, and maybe I'll sing a few of my hits.

But it's for a good cause -- the Doberman Rescue of Nevada.  (the dog, not the character in SGT. BILKO)

Tickets are only $29.  I'm also doing a Meet-and-Greet at 6:00 for $49.   You can finally get that selfie with me you've always wanted.

Tickets are available online.  Just go here.   Again, it's for a really good cause.

So I'm off to Vegas today.   I'll also be appearing on a couple of local morning TV shows to promote the event tomorrow.  Who is awake in Las Vegas in the morning before 9?

See ya in Sin City.

The people who never go to bed.

One of the best - and smartest - dogs I ever had was a Dobie. Big lap dogs.

  5. “No sympathy for the devil; keep that in mind. Buy the ticket, take the ride...and if it occasionally gets a little heavier than what you had in mind, well...maybe chalk it off to forced conscious expansion: Tune in, freak out, get beaten.”

  6. If you go on the local ABC show called Morning Blend, try not to look at the freaky looking host guy and think "your face looks like it's made out of wax".

  7. As a member of your Las Vegas fan club, I'm glad you've made it here. I don't know if I can make it, but somehow, I know you'll survive that anyway.

And Sinatra once told someone the only problem with Las Vegas was that there was nothing to do between 8 and 9 a.m. But I think he was making different plans than you were.

  10. Ken spoofs Gaga by wearing a "meat suit" to the stage. Looking up from the lectern, he sees that, due to an advertising error, the hall is packed with Dobermans in need of rescue - starved, junkyard, attack dogs...

    Compulsive gamblers.

  12. Enjoyed your talk tonight, Ken. And as for all of the digs at my home town in the comments above, Las Vegas is just like any other metropolitan area. We have shopping centers, churches, governmental offices, banks, etc. I moved here 27 years ago, had a great job, have been retired for two years and wouldn't think of living anywhere else.

  13. Your chat was a delight to hear...Though I have heard it several times before, the joy was actually seeing you do it "LIVE" and in the flesh...As I said, I had no idea you were so tall...You don't look like that on your blog pages...It was a good evening and I truly got a thrill finally coming face to face with one of my media heroes...Thanks for taking he time to visit us in Sin City...

And I loved your idea about that movie...The radio one ("Down The Hall") I told you would be kinda like a "Barney Miller" each week...Anyway, make it happen and I'll buy a ticket...Ciao
