I *love* the podcast. I had the Friday question a few months ago asking what your radio show would be if you had a couple of hours on Sirius, and the podcast is exactly what I thought you'd be like on the radio. Question for you -- what would be involved if you wanted to play actual songs on the podcast? I remember on one of Conan's last Tonight Show episodes, he played "Satisfaction" by the Stones because it was the most expensive song he could get the rights for. I'd be curious to know what the process is.
ReplyDeleteAlso, since I feel like you created the podcast just for me, it would be great if you could create a song list with a written script for the intros and outtros you'd use. I figure getting rights to the actual songs would cost a bajillion dollars, but this might be a way to follow along.
Very entertaining podcast! I especially liked the double entendres in the Traci Lord story.

ReplyDeleteOne of the things that's fascinating about "Who's on First" is how strong a straight man Bud Abbott is. When things get rolling, he literally sets the pace and Costello adjusts to match him. Abbott just keeps interrupting Costello until he picks up speed.
