Always great to hear the personal stories! I have to say, too, that you do such a good job of relating the substance of the events that not once have I felt that you were in any way bragging or being boastful. You just make the whole experience fun to hear...and to read. Ken for president!
I have what is probably an academic solution to the 5 or 6 or 7 day Ken problem. If you DON'T post on Wednesdays, other than the podcast, you could then post on Sundays, with no additional work.
Not knowing your numbers, if the podcast is drawing fewer visitors, you could post it on Sunday (and I'll listen to it on Monday anyway)
