Weekend Post

As a playwright, one of the only advantages of this pandemic is that I'm able to get actors to be in Zoom readings who ordinarily would be way too busy.  Such was this case this week when I had a reading of my baseball comedy, GOING GOING GONE.  George Wendt stars along with some Broadway heavy-hitters.  I put it up on YouTube for all to see.   With pitchers and catchers reporting in just a few weeks, come get your baseball and comedy fix.  (Although you don't have to know or even like baseball to enjoy it.)

Play ball!  And thanks again to my amazing cast -- George Wendt, Kate Loprest, Jawan Jackson, Kevin Pollack, Jason Benetti, and Jim Aud.

  2. Speaking of Cheers and Baseball, here's an article by the fine folks at the Hardball Times taking a look back at the career of baseball flameout Sam Malone as well as what his post-playing career might've looked like.

  3. My son and I saw this live not too long ago and it was terrific. Highly recommended. He couldn't stop talking about how good it was, whether you're into sports or not. Thanks for making the reading available, Ken. To quote Mattel, you're a doll.

Ken, did you watch the first episode of Resident Alien? If not, check it out. I think you'd like it. Alan Tudyk is a delight.

  12. Really enjoyed it, Ken, even though we all know the pitcher pitching the no-hitter would have been taken out when he reached his pitch-count limit (ah'). And I fear for George Wendt knowing he lives in the Amityville Horror house!
