BETTER OFF TED -- best censored outtakes EVER

Warning: LOTS of swearing. I mean, LOTS of it. Seriously bad language. Spoken by beloved television characters. But Jesus, is it funny!

  1. Isn't this show the greatest? I feel as though a lot of the "workplace comedies" aren't getting a lot of love from the networks or fans. What is your take on this?

  2. I absolutely adore this show. And although this episode was fantastic as aired, these "special" takes had me on the floor. (All 5 stars really went for it too -- I love that they're all such gleeful potty-mouths.) They break up in the last couple scenes here, but I want to know how they didn't dissolve into giggles every single time.

  3. Never seen the show, but that was hilarious. Gotta love "Frosty the snow whore."

I've just started watching this show, and I love it.

Now I've gotta watch that again and take some notes, especially the scientific formula, to get ready for a family party this weekend.

  6. This is the best show at the moment anyway, proving filemd comedy can be laugh out loud funny (as much as I like 30 Rock, it often isn't). So why isn't everyone watching, you think? No laughtrack? Negative characters? Bad timeslot? Inertia?

By the way, is this for an upcoming episode, a removed storyline or was it made especially to promote the show?

  7. These 'outtakes' look pretty scripted to me - my impression is that the producers either think the show will be cancelled and this is a kind of 'what the hell' thing - or they're hoping the video goes viral and will help improve the ratings.

It's a great show though - especially like the fake ads. Hope it stays on the air!

  8. It looks rehearsed to me as well. I'd bet this was written for the internet. Even the "break-ups" seem a little too polished.

  9. Yes, of course it was scripted -- simply shot as extra footage while shooting the "clean" version for broadcast. And of course it was intended to for release on the web. It's an excellent example of a production company (maybe even a broadcast network) smartly using the tools at their disposal to generate some buzz. It's working. Doesn't hurt that it's pretty damn funny, too.

  10. As you've probably heard this show is on the bubble and unlikely to be renewed without serious intervention. I'm not optimistic about its chances but visiting http://www.savebetteroffted.com/ or signing the on-line petition linked therein can't hurt.

    Have to say the line
"Spoken by beloved television characters" Might be a tad--or a TED--bit of an overstatement.

While this 2:18 of pre planned "improv" is funny...isn't it a "too little too late"? Shouldnt they have done this about 3 months ago before ABC decided to burn off the rest of the new episodes before shitcanning it?

Plus, isnt EVERYONE in the entertainment biz a "potty-mouth"?
I really cant believe this was a huge reach for anyone in the cast to do...

  14. Isn't "square-jawed cum puppet" lifted from ABC's old TGIF lineup?

  15. Wow, I can't believe YouTube allowed this :-P
