What U.S. senator used to be a Mick Jagger impersonator?

Would love to see him do these moves on the senate floor.

  2. Watch his leap from the crane down to the stage about 1:40. Could have been a stunt double, could have been done in two takes, but it still looks impressive.

  3. Hilarious. However, as much as it would be great to see him do those moves on the Senate floor, I don't think I'd want to see today's Al Franken in that outfit.

And as always, Tom Davis is a lox.

  5. I'd settle for him staying awake on teevee...

  6. Thank God. For a moment, when I saw that headline, I thought you were talking about John Boehner.

  7. Franken was quite an athlete in his youth, so don't doubt the stunts. On the other hand, I never liked him much as a comedy performer. Maybe that's why I find it so easy to take him seriously where others don't.

Alarming, and yet, well still alarming.

Nursing a sprained ankle roughly the size and hue of a purple PT Cruiser, this is even more painful to look at. The recuperation has, however, prompted a belated realization: doesn’t a place like Woodland Hills have unfair access to the pool of venerable parade marshals when its annual procession begins and ends at the Motion Picture Home?

PS: in that outfit, at approx. 0:58, I'm pretty sure you can also see a little Boehner. (If you think I’m not embarrassed about having actually timed this out, then you don’t know Jack Flash about the pain of comedy.)

Next: The late Sen. Harry Byrd as Keith Richards.

  9. The crane was being lowered before the jump, it looked to be all of maybe 3 feet.
