the WGA nominations ae out

Congratulations to all the nominees.  Some fun additions.  HOUSE OF CARDS and ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK -- two Netflix shows made the cut.  Also nice to see that THE GOOD WIFE was recognized again.  Notably absent:  GIRLS.    Anyway, here's the complete list of nominees.  Some tough races.  A lot of truly excellent writers are nominated in all categories.

    Interesting to note:

    - THE GOOD WIFE is the only network drama nominated in Best Drama and Episodic Drama.

    - In the newcomers category, none of the nominees are network shows.

    - Jane Espenson for her Web series, HUSBANDS.

    There's a cavernous void where the radio section should be. No dramas, comedies, documentaries?

    I like the title Sylvia Plath: Girl Detective and the sequel Elizabeth Barrett Browning: Bounty Hunter. Is there a recurring villain called Ted?

    Funny to see Jimmy Fallon didn't get nominated but Jimmy Kimmel and (ugh) Saturday Night Live did.
