Picture Weekend concludes

Here are the final photos of the Wellington 7s Rugby Championship.  Hopefully they've given you some fashion ideas.   Hope you enjoyed picture weekend.  My travelogue rolls tomorrow.

I have no objections to the attire in that last photo.

VW: "Drouse" - what I was doing until I saw that last photo.

Hi Ken,

Thanks for sharing all your pics! What a treat and a laugh and a delight! Especially loved the ones that had to do with wine :)

And thanks for writing throughout all that folly.

Welcome home!

If you think the Wellington Sevens are a costume-filled party, wait till you see the Hong Kong Sevens in another month or two!

A Facebook friend went to the Wellington event last year dressed as a table with furnishings: a one night stand.

wv: "apnere" -- what everyone in these costumes were trying to do.

I am Australiwn and feel q little offended by the racist slurs. Yes there are racists here. Just as there are elsewhere. Take for example Darkie toothpaste, sold all around Asia. Banned in Australiq decades ago but still found in some Asian supermarkets.

Actually, scratch that. Australian politics have been driven by racism since the lowly John Howard was prime minister. Election campaigns are driven by xenophobic slogans and fuelled by red neck shock jocks aiming at the lowest basest, most ignorant people.

I am no racist. Hell, I even like the people who hate us the most, New Zealanders. Kiwis are awesome.

Gee, welcome to the US Republican presidential race 2012...

RE: the pictures -- what I'd like to know is was there a game that was actually played?...

wv: fibirres -- what the French consume to maintain proper regularity

Hey, of all the Australians I've met, none of them have been racist, and all have been LOVELY people. And of course, every country has problems with racism.

I have to point out that it's not really a slur to comment on the fact that your country has a terrible reputation.

Forgetting the long history of racist immigration laws (it was only in 1973 that the country ended the "White Australia" laws), just eight months ago the UN Human Rights Commissioner unfavourably compared present-day Australia to Apartheid South Africa. Not good.

Nice pics, Ken!

Kiwis crack me up. Swear to God they are the funniest people in the world. Sweet as, bro!

And yes, we haven't had a summer this year.

UNHRC? Ridiculous comparison. Glib and lazy...
