Debbie Gibson was a huge pop star in the late ‘80s – writing, performing, and producing a string of gold records while still in high school. It’s a unique and fascinating journey. So you want to be a rock n’ roll star? Here’s all the hard work it takes to get there. Plus, her songwriting process.

Two pm in the east and no comments yet? Thanks, Ken and Debbie for a fun trip back to the 80's. Debbie was one of the last singers I kinda crushed on when I followed the music charts religiously.
That was a lot of fun to listen to. I'm looking forward to part 2. Debbie comes across as a really down to earth kind of person.
Nice interview with Debbie. In 2016, I saw her in a so-so Hallmark movie which did highlight some of her talents. I also laughed back in around 2010 when she and Tiffany went on tour together. They seemed to be rivals in the day, but they came out together to go on tour.
Based on Part 1 of the interview and the general feel I've gotten from other interviews I've seen that you could spend a week having non-stop conversations with Debbie about her adventures, both good and bad. She seems candid and outspoken, both of which I gratefully admire and respect. Many have long forgotten her but to me, which I sheepishly admit, she's like lightening in a bottle.
