On this day in 1972 the first episode of M*A*S*H aired! Thoughts?
It’s also the 50th anniversary of this:

His story about the casting of "an Adam Scott type" and then getting Adam Scott is reminiscent of how they cast "the Book" in the original Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy radio series. Douglas Adams said he was thinking of someone with "a Peter Jonesy voice". They were rejected by some other actors, and then someone decided to ask Jones himself.
Good rags to riches story.
The pilot of SEVERANCE is riveting. Congratulations to Dan Erickson.

My wife and I started to watch Severance a week or two after it started. She didn't get more than half way through it and vetoed it. Too much lie being in Hell for her tastes.
Fast forward to two weeks ago when I listened to Ken's audio blog with Dan Erickson. I didn't remember the name of the show and found it interesting. I went to Apple+ and realized that it was the show she vetoed.
I explained the premise to my wife and she gave it chance through the whole episode.
She changed her mind and it's now one of her favorite shows of the year!
I was amazed at how many sci-fi stories this pulled from and still had its own story.
Bravo!
I just finished the season one finale, and I must say there was enough information learned that I don't feel cheated. The reveal at the end of episode 8 was a jaw dropper.
