The AMAZING jump rope dancers. You won't believe it!
You can keep your Laker Girls or college dance teams. These girls are amazing beyond belief. Introducing the Naval Academy Jump Rope Dance team. Wow.

I think the appropriate reaction in military vernacular is "Outstanding!". I feel somewhat safer knowing that these women will be defending my country in years to come.
My first thought was "Wow, they're awfully young for Naval cadets". A little googling and I discovered that they are middle school kids from Ohio who happened to be performing at the Naval Academy.
Amazing, a thing of beauty. I can barely follow it with my eyes, how they were able to do it is astonishing. This puts us ahead of the Chinese and the Russians for sure.
Impressive but I hope it doesn't become an Olympic event. Rhythmic Gymnastics have already filled whatever void there was for an event featuring athletes running around with streaming accessories.
I realize now that someone now has to write a contrived screenplay for an action movie as a vehicle for the Naval Academy's Jump Rope Dancers. It will be our generation's "Gymkata."
And I would so pay money to see it in the theaters.
At first blush, those sound more like titles for gritty [yet sexy!] teen dramas. I'm skewing more towards "Double Dutch Squad" as the franchise, and the tagline being "This Summer, Terrorism will be on the ropes!"

Rhythmic gymnastics became an Olympic event so that Eastern Bloc girls who couldn't make the regular gymnastics teams could still get medals.
We can only hope that our military is as disciplined and fit as these girls. Wow!
