Listen to a failed TV pilot that Ken Levine & David Isaacs wrote and produced for Fox in 2003. Now with a new (and better) cast, you’ll hear a reading of the pilot produced exclusively for this podcast. Hear how the authors envisioned it and why they still think this is a damn funny show that would do well on TV today.

I'm lagging behind! I still haven't listened to your stand up! Can't wait to hear this one, too!
So difficult to gauge without being in the room, but I did laugh, and at unexpected times.
Interesting to see the names of the folks in the failed pilot, and the credits they've had: Criminal Minds, Ally McBeal, 2 Broke Girls...
How sad that this pilot didn't get picked up. I was laughing almost from the get-go. As you said, a lot of good comedy comes from characters wanting something they don't have, and it was hilarious listening to these upper-lower-class people trying to award respectability to themselves. Nice job!
Always nice to hear Mark Elliot!
You may have had a big casting problem on the pilot, but you guys sure picked some winners in the younger performers. Would love to have seen Aaron Paul as Clay.
I can so see Fox wanting to continue its relationship with a certain actor and trying to force him in to this. I can also so see it not working. I have certainly enjoyed him in a number of things he's been in, but can see how he could make this role really irritating.
Love Paget Brewster, Aaron Paul, and Kat Dennings, though. Would love to see this somewhere.
