Cliff Levine

Sad to report that my father, Cliff Levine passed away Friday night.  He was 89, almost 90.  He was a remarkable man who leaves behind cherished memories, many terrific accomplishments, and three generations of family that love him and will be forever grateful that he was in our lives.

This was offered to me at a difficult time. It was memorable. I pass it along with sincere condolences.

And when great souls die,
after a period peace blooms,
slowly and always
irregularly. Spaces fill
with a kind of
soothing electric vibration.
Our senses, restored, never
to be the same, whisper to us.
They existed. They existed.
We can be. Be and be
better. For they existed.”

I recall many times when you referring to your dad as "my hero". What a loving tribute to a man who exuded love just by looking at his pictures on your site. Never met him, but since I know you, I feel I know your dad. And that beautiful picture of your dad, you, your son and his son truly says it all. God Bless Cliff and the entire Levine family.

Ken, when a relatively healthy parent lives to that age (my mom was 94), you think they'll be around forever. While I never took that for granted, I didn't realize how emotionally unprepared I was to lose her when the time came. My heart goes out to you and your family. With deepest sympathy - Patricia

Ken,

You are now part of a fraternity that none of us would prefer to be in, yet life puts us in this group, regardless of what our preferences would be. This is all of us. Joining this group, we now have the knowledge of what our own fathers and their fathers went through. They have taught us well, and we will continue to forward the life lessons and love our fathers have taught us, through their words and deeds, to our family and friends.

Your father will continue to smile down on you, and continue to encourage and look after you, through all your future endeavors, just as he did in this physical sphere.

My Dad also made it to 89. I would like to say that great minds think alike.

Take care.

I just was able to check in this morning and saw this post. I am so sorry for the loss of your father. I lost both of my parents (both in their mid to upper 80s with many, many health issues within 5 moths of each other in 2013) and even though you expect it, it isn't easy.

Prayers for your family.
