Nobody photoshops Danica Patrick and gets away with it!

Okay, it’s one thing if you want to photoshop in some breasts for Keira Knightley for a stupid movie poster...
but now comes word that Sports Illustrated has photocopied out Danica Patrick’s tattoo for their swimsuit issue photo shoot. Thank God! I think you would have to agree that with that tattoo she no longer looks attractive at all. SI claims they did that because their swimsuit issue celebrates “natural” beauty. As such they do allow the models to keep their freckles.

Seems to me if they really want to celebrate natural beauty they’d airbrush out the swimsuits. I’m just sayin’.

Ken,
Your suggestion that the editors eliminate the swimsuit in order to "celebrate natural beauty " reminds me of this Alfred Hitchcock anecdote concerning Tallulah Bankhead:

One day on the set of Lifeboat, Alfred Hitchcock had a minor difficulty with Tallulah Bankhead. "There were complaints that she was climbing in out of the bright lights with nothing under her skirt," he recalled. Though Hitchcock, who admired Bankhead's bawdiness, refused to reprimand her, the production manager insisted that something be done. "Somebody has to tell her," he said. "Which department is it anyhow?" Hitchcock thought about the question for a moment before replying: "You might consider this a matter for the wardrobe department, or perhaps for the makeup people - or perhaps it's even for hairdressing!"

We compromised, and I waxed.

Shouldn't they follow though, and airbrush out implants, lifts, hair extensions, hair dye, nose jobs, replace armpit hair, and include transcripts of their onset tantrums?

Just asking.

Cheers.

Danica Patrick spends more time in a bikini these days than she does behind the wheel of her race car.

How long before she's on a movie set in the San Fernando Valley?

If Milka Duno or Sarah Fisher need any bodywork done, please let them know I’ll remove any tattoo, any color, for for twenty-nine ninety-five! Riiiiiiiiiiight!!!"

That was too easy. Sorry.

She looks better without the tattoo. I've yet to see a good looking tattoo. They all look like burn scars or FDA certifications on a sides of beef.

Just my opinion.

Of course I've yet to see a sexy cigarette...something about the smell is a turn-off.

I can't really tell, but Danica's tattoo looks like a barcode. Or maybe it's instructions to the safety crew in case of a crash during a race...

"If you can read this, I'm upside down."

I had a question, but now I have two questions:

(1) Is there a separate place to submit a question for your "question of the week?" I could not find it.

(2) The real question: On The Dick Van Dyke show, there were three writers. On 30 Rock they have about 10 writers in addition to Tina Fey who seems to be the Rob Petrie of that show. Is this true to life? Were there only three writers on "Your Show of Shows" or writing for Milton Berle? If so, I suppose that explains why so much of the humor on those shows was pretty corny. So, has comedy writing changed so much that in the early days of television they used 3 writers where now 11 are necessary? Or is there some other explanation (cheaper to cast and easier to write a show about three people in an office than 11 people in an office)?

Gives a whole new meaning to the term 'bodyshop'.

Are we to believe that Danica wears a bikini underneath her race suit?

I have a question too:
If it's customary to rotate the 'written by' credits among the staff writers on episodic comedies, what's the reaction when an episode gets an Emmy nomination but only a couple of the staff get the credit?

I'm with O'Hara. Not a fan of tattoos and especially tramp stamps. And if they have to have tramp stamps, can't they at least use text so we can have something to read while playing Fun With Lassie?

Tramp Stamps?

Hadn't heard that one - but it's right on the mark.
