Very glad you at least addressed some of your experiences on MARY. I salute you for your perseverance and not letting those bad days keep you away from television. You gotta get that autobiography done, Ken. (BTW, the MARY show was actually not that bad -- I remember it fondly.)

I think that if you get to be middle aged and the worst thing you can say is "my life sucks", then you're actually doing ok. There are billions far worse off than you, and they don't even have vodka.

Now the message from daytime TV commercials is - "You're an OLD loser!"

Hi Ken:

Question: You'll read every once in a while about actors who are so in tune with their characters that they will decline to do a line or a scene stating their characters wouldn't say/do that. I'm curious if you've had that problem in the writing room i.e. a scribe who felt so possessive about a character that he/she actually became too disruptive in finishing script(s)?

I rarely listen to podcasts (I lose patience and many seem too scattered). But I took a chance on this one and it's very enjoyable! And also very wise. Great storytelling and held my interest throughout. Not sure if this is worthy of a Friday question, but during your budding cinephile period seeing movies at revival theaters I'm curious what films impressed you the most.
