I wonder if it works in the other direction, to indicate youth? Of course, to scholars of rock and pop, age means diddly.
Wow! That was incredible! It makes want to on some classic albums right now. I knew about 80 songs really well, right across the board. The 1980's was my weakest era.

Very impressive. Two big omissions. No Beach Boys or Kinks? And considering how old I am there were at least a dozen bands that I had never heard of.

You are right Blaze, It probably works in reverse. I doubt most 20 year olds know who Buddy Holly or other early rock n rollers are.
Everybody's a critic. I'll just say that that was fucking awesome and that that's how I play guitar when I'm dreaming.
The 90s cover made it to #1 on the Modern Rock charts; I don't think Status Quo did as well.
