Now you'll know the rest of the story

Welcome to another session of Comedy 101. I did this before and you guys seemed to like it. Today I will show an episode from our mid '90s CBS series, ALMOST PERFECT, starring Nancy Travis. (She's the head writer of the TV cop show.) Tomorrow I will break down how and why we constructed this story the way that we did. So enjoy the episode and come back tomorrow to take a peek behind the curtain.

'The Great Big Gatsby' - very nice.

That was the funniest thing I've seen in a long time. I watched the entire episode while on the treadmill at the gym and kept getting odd stares from others because of my uncontrollable laughter outbursts. I have never seen this show before. Thanks for sharing. Can't wait to read tomorrow's post.

Two classic comedy premises - mistaken identify and covering up one lie with many more.
Looking forward to reading the breakdown of this episode tomorrow.
Was that the director of the episode seen ever so briefly after stepping out of the limo?

Curious why Robin Schiff has single name on "created by" card and her married name (?) on the "executive producer" card. Couldn't she have changed her name on the first card (if she did get married)?

@MikeK.Pa: "Immergut" literally means "always good".
Maybe Ms Schiff is a very modest person.

You can find many episodes of ALMOST PERFECT on Youtube now. I agree it is one of the funniest shows ever; the most hilarious group of characters for sure. Such a shame it was cancelled so soon.

Hey. Was that you in the crowd scene at the start of Act 2?
