An aircheck of me as Beaver Cleaver on B100 San Diego from 1976 is playing now (11-12 EDT) and again from 11-12 PDT on GreatBigRadio.com. Thanks to Howard Hoffman and Rob Frankel. So stagger back to 1976 for better boogie.
My radio career came on the tail end of this era. It began with the rise of Scott Shannon, Z100 and his influence on Top 40 radio around the country (although I wasn't a part of the endless "Z-Morning Zoo / Mr. Leonard" clones).
Those were the good old days. My friend Dawn Meyer and I were the self-appointed Beaver Cleaver Fan Club and called in and sang our theme song to you. It was our radio debut. I went on to work in radio myself, first gig being board op at kfmb during Del Mar Fair thrn on the air in PA and had my own fan club....

Good stuff hear<---- ;-)
What was Disco Stu really like?
So YOU were Scott Shannon's sidekick I heard when the True Oldies Channel USED to be broadcasted in Knoxville?
Cool! I listened to B100 all the time as a kid growing up in San Diego. I remember Shotgun Tom Kelly most of all, for some reason.
