I will be back with Seattle next year

Happy to announce that I'll be back next season calling a number of Seattle Mariners games with Rick Rizzs on 710 ESPN and the Seattle Mariners Radio Network.   Don't know how many or when yet.   I've requested all the games that Felix Hernandez starts but let's see.  In the meantime, thanks so much to the M's, KIRO radio, and all of you who enjoyed my broadcasts last year and let the Mariners' know.   Now I REALLY can't wait until spring training!

Hey, excellent! Welcome back. I'm afraid I can't speak knowledgeably about the Mariners, but I'd be happy to buy you a drink and listen to you talk about, well, everything else I love about this blog.

So what do you think of reports that Magic Johnson wants to buy the Dodgers, another team you might know something about?

As I said the other day when someone spilled the beans, it'll be great to have you back. Can't wait.

Great news, but I so wish it could be for more games. The best Mariner broadcasts will always be the ones you did with Dave.

Congrats. To celebrate, here's a clip of the funniest damn baseball broadcast I ever saw. Bill Murray was filling in for Harry Caray after he'd had his stroke. First time in my life I cheered a rain delay. He must have riffed for 2 or 3 straight hours. Just brilliant. I had the whole thing on tape for years but my mom accidentally taped over it for one of her rapey MASH episodes.

Wish we had a few of your pennants.

Great, Ken. I have a question. When I watch the game on TV and listen on the radio, the TV is about 30 seconds behind. Why such a long delay? Is it a technical thing or do they delay it intentionally so they can bleep a fan yelling obscenities or something?

Congratulations, Ken. The Niehaus legacy is in good hands.

Hope to see you at the Hutch Awards in January as Mariner announcers usually are there. That's where I met Rick and Dave.

Great news, Ken! You do realize, however, that instead of all the Felix starts you're destined to work the road trips to Detroit/Cleveland in April and Texas in August.

@Cap'n Bob: Check out the last question at this link; it's more like a 10-second delay at most, and this answer is 4 years old, but I believe the same principle is still in effect.

Thanks, Jeff. It sure seems more than 10 seconds. I recall hearing a runner being thrown out at first on the radio while on TV he was still approaching the plate. I'm sure my perspective was off.

The hell of it is, I'd like to listen to radio while watching TV, but it's impossible.

Can't hear you live, but hope to hear plenty of your calls on MLB Network's highlights shows...

Awesome news - would love to see have you broadcast M's games as often as your schedule allows. Love your style!
