I just watched the HBO Documentary, "Very Semi-Serious". http://www.hbo.com/documentaries/very-semi-serious-a-partially-thorough-portrait-of-new-yorker-cartoonists/synopsis/about.html
It features Bob Mankoff and many gifted cartoonists. It touches on what is funny, the selection and rejection process at the New Yorker, and the need to nurture up and coming/forming cartoonist.
I knew humor is not an easy way to make a living, but I never envisioned it would be this quirky and difficult.
If you're a cartoonist, everybody who knows what you do for a living has a great gag idea for you. The problem is that those ideas are almost always just really bad puns.
Sleep Sleep Screech by Little Willie John. I'd replace it with Monsieur Dupont by Sandie Shaw, which would fit well with the other songs by her I've heard on there.

Nobody ever credits the writers, either.

Just heard you on richbro radio! I'm trying to donate but his website has been down for a couple of days.
I think he's having problems with it tonight. Please keep trying. We could be weeks away from the site going away.
You should make a post about it. I found out about RBR from this blog, I'm sure others have as well.
Thanks, Matthew. I plan to. And again, thanks in advance for supporting Richbro Radio. It needs to stay on the air.
That must be Cybill Shepard being dragged away
How much do we have to donate to choose one song to be scrubbed from the playlist? :)

I've been trying with my old link all year without success. You can get it with the link above.
Which song, Matthew?

What a joker.
(Oh, come now, SOMEBODY had to say it...)
You made me laugh, John Hammes!
