....and may it not be for you like it was for Ron Howard, Mike & Molly, Paris, Mrs. Steve Jobs, North West, whoever hosted the Oscars, my 1999 Lumina, Toronto Maple Leafs, RJ Wagner's conscience, whoever tried to duplicate Ken's blog, snow, Steven Colbert's numbers, the last employee hired by Google, any black man pulled over by the cops and VISA cause I can't pay you, sorry.

Happy New Year to everyone!

Here's to 2016 finally being the year Sly Stallone gets Academy Award recognition for his performance in Creed, which is yet to open in the UK but from what I've read has had critics giving glowing reviews for his performance and has already won him a clutch of best supporting actor awards.

I'd also say here's to Batman vs Superman being a fun movie but who am I kidding? Judging by the trailer, it looks like it'll be even more leaden and gloomy and ridiculously "serious" than Man of Steel. Still, it's got the gorgeous Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, and the fact she's Israeli will piss off the anti-Semites. So I guess we can rule out Mel Gibson lining up to buy a ticket.

I do wish all a Happy New Year but it begins with some sad news from the 4077th.

(Note: Spoilers ahead)

I'm sure my friends and family hope 2016 isn't for me what 2015 was for Han Solo...;)

Well let's start the year off with Mistah Scully's best from last year:

And simply because I think it's the best baseball song ever (performed by Steve Goodman, one of the most incredible and humorous performers ever), my little gift to us :

Happy New Year, and DrBOP and Ken might want to join me in a campaign. Years ago, in an interview, The Vin revealed two facts about himself: that he loves gadgets from the hardware store and that he is a klutz. It seems to me that if we get people to keep reminding Sandi Scully of that, she might just say, "Vin, honey, please keep leaving the house and going to the ballpark. Do another year."

Apropos of retirements, Ken's favorite Rose Parade commentators, Bob Eubanks and Stephanie Edwards, are retiring after this year, saying they want to concentrate on other things. And I'm thinking, you work one day a year!

I saw Joy today which I urge everyone to see. A truly wonderful film. Jennifer Lawrence is one of the greatest living actresses. No exaggeration. She's phenomenal.
