Warning: I'm going to be on television

As part of my book promotion for THE ME GENERATION... BY ME (GROWING UP IN THE '60s) I'll be on the WGN Mid-Day News on Friday (noon-one) in Chicago and then "Twin-Cities Live" on KSTP Channel 5 in Minneapolis-St.Paul next Tuesday from 3-4.  That one's going to be really fun because it will be live from the Minnesota State Fair.  Hopefully I can wrestle a pig or someone can make a statue of me in butter.

After Labor Day I'll be GOOD DAY L.A. on Channel 11 in Los Angeles.

The point is this:  buy my book already so you don't have to keep seeing me.

I did buy your book, yet I keep on seeing you. (Oh wait. I like seeing you. Never mind.)

I'd ask if you'd want to do a signing or meetup at G-Mart Comics (my store) in Chicago over the weekend, but it would be too late to order copies of the book from a distributor, unless of course you managed to bring copies with you, in case you're very welcome to do so.

Thanks so much for the offer but yes, I don't have the books with me, and I'm also broadcasting the games this weekend for the Mariners and don't have the time unfortunately. But thanks so much. I greatly appreciate the gesture.

You'd look good in butter.

Oh, man, I have to be at work from 3-4, otherwise I would so be at the fair staring at you being interviewed. Is that all your time in MN? Do you have any time to spend at the fair ? It's awesome! My favorite new thing is the Giant Karaoke Sing-Along, but that's likely to be far north of your interview. See if you can get a peek at the carved butter heads of the Dairy Princesses, they are really cool! Or the all you can drink milk booth, just be sure to get some Sweet Martha's chocolate chip cookies before you get there. I am jealous!

Hey Ken - If you're still in Mpls thursday night, I'd like to invite you to our show at the Brave New Workshop. I've got your tickets. We're right around the corner from Target Field. It'd be my pleasure to repay you for the great free advice.

Enjoy the cheese curds at the state fair! That was the first thing anyone made me eat when I moved to Minnesota.
