Dear Mr. Wendt,My prayers and best wishes to you for a speedy recovery.Thank you for giving me something to laugh for every Thursday night for eleven years, plus whenever I caught a rerun in syndication. Now I get to laugh more often again with Cheers through my digital streaming subscriptions (either Netflix Instant or Amazon Prime).Anyway, you made Norm Peterson a really lovable guy, and I wish most other people in the world (myself included) were more like him, at least more often.
PS: A very Happy Belated Birthday to you too!

George, I'm piling up all the happy energy from the laughs you gave me over the years and sending it back your way. Please get well.
George -- every so often I think about the moment in your first episode of "The Naked Truth" when you walked on stage and clearly delighted an entire audience that wasn't expecting to see you. I thought it was heartwarming then, and I still do. You've brought a lot of joy to a lot of people, and I wanted to join everyone in wishing you a speedy recovery.
All the best to George from Ireland!
Good luck George. I'm working my way through all the seasons of Cheers on Netflix and enjoying them all over again.

"I was being ironic.""No, you were being sarcastic. But it's ironic you didn't know that."No one could've sold that line like George Wendt. Get well really soon. We need you in our lives, always.
I'm currently watching Cheers right the way through. I'm at the start of Season 10, and the show is still hilarious. It wouldn't have been the same without Norm. I hope you make a speedy recovery, Mr Wendt. Thanks for the laughs!

Prayers from Texas for a full and speedy recovery. My wife and I loved your comedic work on "Cheers," "SNL," et al, but we also saw you on stage in Dallas in "12 Angry Men" and know what a powerful dramatic actor you are as well. Hope you get back to exercising all your talents very soon.

Thanks for the laughs, George.Hey, when you get sick, do you hole up on the couch and watch Cheers reruns like the rest of us do??
I think Samuel Butler said one of the best "get well" quotes, so I'll leave you with this:"I reckon being ill as one of the great pleasures of life, provided one is not too ill and is not obliged to work till one is better."Get Well soon Mr. Wendt!
George, in light of your being a cast member of my all-time favorite sitcom and someone who also starred in a movie with Jenny McCarthy, I wanted to tell you that I've been living vicariously through your career for many, many, MANY -- Damn! I almost made it all the way through that! :-)Best wishes for a speedy recovery! God Bless!Tom QuigleyRochester, NY
Get well, put on that MilkBone underwear, and get back in our lives.
Imagine yourself lying on the beach somewhere in paradise. Works for me.Get well!
George - I hope you make a full recovery and that you'll be up and running soon. I'd like to personally tell you that your work, all those years ago, became a part of who I was: just a kid who would flip on the TV and be invited into this magical place every Thursday night. I can't imagine not having those wonderful memories as a part of who I was then, and who I still am now. I cherish those times.Thank you for making it happen.
Get well soon Mr. Wendt!Met you at the commissary on the Paramount lot and you were most gracious and generous with your time.My thoughts are with you.
Didn't read the blog till today because of Sandy. Get well soon, George, and thanks to you, Norm, and the writers for all the laughs!

George,We really shouldn't wait for something terrible to happen to a person to thank them for their contributions to our lives. But here we are...Get well soon and LISTEN to what the doctors tell you. We want you around for a long time.Pam PurtleSt. Charles, MO
Get well soon George and provide us with many more years of laughter.
George, Get well!!!
Hi George! Before moving to Phoenix 5 years ago, I was a born and bred resident of Chicago. I was fortunate enough to see you and Tim Kazurinsky at Second City...I think it was 1978, B.C.(Before Cheers). I had you and Tim pegged to end up on SNL soon after that. I was half-right, unless I count The Superfans, which I will, because they were classic! It was the best night I ever saw out of many visits to Second City. Thanks for that! And all the laughs and entertainment you have brought me over the years.I hope you and Tim do make it onstage to do "The Odd Couple" sometime down the road. But most importantly, get healthy and stay healthy! We don't want you "Dead gone dead, right fuckin' there!"Phil De CroocqFormerly Da Nort SideCurrently Downtown Phoenix
Get well, George!! Love ya, Norm!
Mr. Wendt, Keep your spirits up and get well soon.
Get well George and pinch a nurse for me! Just to be safe, pinch the doctor, too.
To go with Antonio's Emmy and Lowell's Oscar, and whatever Woody has done, I should add that George Norm dominated his appearance on The Weakest Link, to the point where the other contestants realized they oculdn't beat him and voted him off early, and was the only person to not be attacked by the host.
You've provided me, and countless others, many moments of laughter over the years, Mr. Wendt. Get well soon.Mike
Hope you get well soon George :)
Hang in there, George! Get well soon!!!
thanks for sharing.
Hope you're feeling better, Mr. Wendt - I've greatly enjoyed your work over the years!
