Thanks to everyone...

for coming out to my book signing Monday night at the Grove for THE ME GENERATION.. BY ME (GROWING UP IN THE '60s).  Lots of friends, readers of the blog, and a few people waiting for Caroline Kennedy's appearance in two weeks who just wanted to get a good seat.  Signed a lot of books and one guy actually had me sign the back of his Kindle.   Hope you all had as much fun as I did and more importantly, enjoy the book.

It was an enjoyable evening, and your reading was so mellifluous (I don't get to use that word nearly often enough) that I thought "gee, this guy should be on the radio. OH WAIT."

Now, of course, far too late for the Q and A, I've thought of a Q: have the movie rights been snapped up, and will you be played by Tom Hanks?

As my late mother would have said: "You couldn't put on a nice necktie?", not that she ever wore one.

My favorite moment was the bookstore lady telling you that Jenny McCarthy had drawn a different crowd and you replying, "Yes, mine have higher IQs. Who would get parenting advice from Jenny McCarthy?"

I'm so sad I missed it. You will appreciate that I had a long-standing dinner dates with some friends I rarely see. Guess where we ate - 800 Degrees Pizza!! p.s. - it was good, customized and cheap (I think that's the secret)

Anyway, I tried to reschedule with them but it couldn't happen so they won. Hope you had a good time!

I noticed that Kirstie Alley will be at that Barnes and Noble next month on the 11th(and that it is a wrist band event.) Maybe the people you thought were waiting for Caroline Kennedy were waiting for her.I would have loved nothing more to have been there for your signing. I have a signed copy, courtesy of my brother who met you August 20th at the Safeco signing.

Just read the book, really enjoyed it. Except for the parts about you feeling up my Mom. That was uncomfortable for obvious reasons. But the rest was funny and insightful.
